The following are among programs and activities that receive support, be it through volunteer hours and/or financial support, during the year:
- Local Mission funds support 25 local agencies.Through the Christmas Offering Fund, small grants are made available to local agencies to assist them for specific projects. Examples of grants would include special needs at the Crisis Nursery, TIMES Center, Victim Offender Reconciliation Program, Restoration Urban Ministries, etc.
- Food Pantry - The church maintains a food pantry that is stocked by our members. The "little red wagon" is pulled into the sanctuary, once a month, during our worship service with food and money donated by church members. Volunteers deliver the food to local food pantries, which deliver the food to those in need.
- Frances Nelson Health Center - Layettes are put together and donated to the center for mothers and families in need.
- Transitional Initiative Men's Emergency Service (TIMES Center) - Soup is made by church groups and members then given to the service to help feed the men in need.
- Meals on Wheels - Volunteers help deliver meals to those in the program.
- Habitat for Humanity - in 2001 we helped build a house.
- Sponsored a refugee Family.
Adult Seminars and potluck suppers are sponsored with various other groups to provide opportunities for education of Local and Global Mission Opportunities. Additional opportunities for congregational education and participation throughout the year. Some examples include Alternative Gift Market International and local Mission Projects.
Local Mission Projects in 2004 have included assisting in roof repair for a local church and minor repairs on a home for transitional women. In 2011, a team of church members served at Kemmerer Village, a home for children and youth located in Assumption, Illinois. During the overnight trip, members did maintenance around the Kemmerer Village horse barn.
- Our church facilities are shared with the Korean Church of Champaign-Urbana and with the Cooperative Nursery School
